About
Since Phuket means a "Glass Mountain", this project represents the island as a transparent mosaic by using projection mapping. The project is made to solve the lack of immersive space in Phuket and promote the island. Built from fractured shards of stained glass, each shard is a vessel resembling Phuket identity. Bound together, they create a grand, see-through architecture, allowing us to see through the collective fragments of Phuket’s heritage and Phuket‘s potential as the Andaman‘ pearl.
จากความหมายของชื่อภูเก็ตที่แปลว่า "ภูเขาแก้ว" โปรเจคนี้ชูอัตลักษณ์ของเกาะผ่านเทคโนโลยี Projection Mapping เพื่อสร้างแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมรูปแบบใหม่ (Immersive Space) ที่ขับเคลื่อนภูเก็ตด้วยเทคโนโลยี
โดยตีความเมืองภูเก็ตเป็น "ศิลปะโมเสก" ที่ประกอบขึ้นจากเศษกระจกสี (Stained Glass) ซึ่งแต่ละชิ้นส่วนสื่อถึงเรื่องราวและเอกลักษณ์ของเมือง เมื่อหลอมรวมเศษเสี้ยวเหล่านี้เข้าด้วยกัน จึงกลายเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมที่เปิดให้ผู้ชมได้ "มองทะลุ" ผ่านมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมในอดีต เพื่อเห็นศักยภาพของภูเก็ตในฐานะ "ไข่มุกแห่งอันดามัน"
